1200 million rupees earmarked for working women hostel in Pakistan

The Provincial Minister for Women Development and Population Welfare, Nadira Panjwani has said her department had earmarked Rs1200 million funds for the construction of working women hostels in various districts of Sindh including Hyderabad. She said this during a meeting with the Zila Nazim, Hyderabad, Kanwar Naveed at the DCO House. The acting DCO, Barkat Rizvi. Also attended the meeting. The minister said that every possible support and assistance would be extended to the zila nazim for the early construction of working women’s hostel in Hyderabad.

She said, ‘these hostels are being constructed to resolve difficulties being faced by women coming to big cities for jobs and studies. We are committed to resolve problems of women to a large extent.’

She thanked the nazim for providing plot for the hostel in Hyderabad and hoped that foundation stone of the hostel would be held soon. Panjwani also assured full support to the zila nazim for resolving problems regarding a university project that a foreign country has shown an interest to set up in Hyderabad city.

She informed the meeting that she would hold discussions with Chairman, Higher Education Commission, Dr Attaur Rehman in this regard soon.
